Welcome to Wamboo. By joining, you become an important part of a fun social utility that enables you to share kindness with individuals or families in need. This policy applies only to that information gathered by Wamboo. It covers what we collect and don't collect as well as what we do do and don't do with the info collected. We think it's pretty simple, straightforward and we used the phrase do do in a sentence so we think you'll like it.

Wamboo Principles - Nutshell Version

Wamboo is not interested in selling, giving, leasing or trading (even for a miniature donkey) your personal information to any third party for their independent use or benefit at anytime for any reason. Ever.

Our goal in building Wamboo was to create an easy system that would help individuals and families in need reach a broader audience of people and through that reach increase the possibility that they could get their need met. We also wanted you to be able to connect with other members and share information with family, friends and colleagues. At the same time, we understand you may like helping people but that doesn't mean you want to share all your information with the whole world. So, we give you control of your personal information including what shows on your profile, how you wish to communicate and with whom. Once you sign up for this free site, be sure to check out My Wamboo to adjust any of the default settings fit your style.

What We Do Do (and don't do)

• We collect information necessary to let you enjoy the Wamboo community, improve our website features and services.
• Your name, E-mail addresses, Wamboo Champion Affidavits and Wamboo Rally Affidavits are among the information we collect in order to provide you with member support and do our best to assure Rally legitimacy.
• Cookies are set and accessed by us to allow you to interact with the site.
• We use web beacons to gather anonymous statistical information about our website traffic and its collective quirks.
• Wamboo may share information collected by us with third parties to help provide statistical and demographic analysis to Wamboo so we and our business partners can provide you with the very best services and offerings.
• From time to time you may have the opportunity to 'opt-in' to various surveys, polls, contests, newsletters, forum features and special offers.
• Wamboo may amend this privacy policy at any time by providing e-mail notification and/or posting notice on the site that changes have been made. Any future changes will become effective 30 days after the e-mail is sent or the notice is posted. You can also find the latest revision date at the top of this page. By continuing to use the site, you are accepting the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to abide by the Terms of Use or Privacy Policy, we'll miss you but do not use or access the site.

Please respect the privacy of your fellow members. Here are a few ways you can do that:

• Keep it clean. PG-13 is a good rule. If you're feeling trashy, there are plenty of other sites out there that will indulge and encourage you.
• Don't ask for or post phone numbers, addresses, credit card information or anything else of a personal nature. Not everyone is as nice as you, so remember, safety first.
• Information from which you (or your family or friends) stand to profit is SPAM. Keep your postings, e-mails and other communication on topic and of interest to the Wamboo community.

Information We Collect
When you visit Wamboo we receive certain information from you that helps us effectively manage the site, improve our offerings and enhance your experience.

When you register with Wamboo, you provide us with certain personal information, such as your name, your email address, your telephone number, your address, your gender, age and any other personal or preference information that you choose to provide.

When you enter Wamboo, we collect information about your interaction with the site. This information is gathered for all Wamboo visitors. In addition, we use 'cookies' to store information from your browser, IP address, login username but not your password and information about your visit. These 'cookies' terminate once the user closes the browser. Should you choose to not enjoy the convenience of the login cookie, you may eliminate it through your computer's system settings.

When you use Wamboo, you may set up your personal profile, start relationships, support Rallies, send messages, perform searches, form Teams, set up Events, and share information in a variety of ways. This information is collected as you interact with the site so that we can manage the functionality of the site and continue to provide you with better features and improve your experience with Wamboo but mostly for your personal use. That way each time you visit you have ready access to your information (i.e. your preferences & settings).

We may occasionally use the information gathered to communicate with you and/or notify you of new products or services that, based on your usage, you may find valuable. Primarily, though, information is stored to be presented back to you for your convenience and that of individuals you choose to share information with based on the privacy settings you choose.

User Content (as defined in the Wamboo Terms of Use) on the Site is posted at your own risk. We allow you to set certain privacy options that limit access to your pages, but please be aware that no security measures are perfect. We cannot control the actions of other Users or third party sites with whom you may choose to share your pages, postings and information. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee in any way that User Content you post on the Site will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or breach of security measures contained on the Site. You understand and acknowledge that, even after information is removed, copies of User Content may remain viewable as cached and archived pages or if other Users have copied or stored your User Content.

Any improper collection or misuse of information provided on Wamboo is a violation of the Wamboo Terms of Use and should be reported to privacy@wamboo.com.

If you choose to use our invitation service to tell a friend about our site, we will need certain information (such as your friend's e-mail address) to send the invitation. We will send your friend an email from you and may send up to two reminders inviting them to visit the site. Wamboo stores this information to effectively manage the invitation process and to track the success of our site referral program. If they decline the invitation, their information will be stored for a reasonable period of time then removed.

By using Wamboo, you are consenting to have your personal data transferred to, processed and stored as outlined herein in the United States.

Children Under Age 13

Membership on this Site is intended solely for users who are thirteen (13) years of age or older. Certain Rallies may involve children under age 13 and are only done so with the explicit permission of the parent or guardian. Any registration, use of, or access to the Site by anyone under 13, is unauthorized and in violation of these Terms of Use. By using the Service, you warrant that you are 13 or older.

If you are a minor over 13 years of age, please ask your parent's permission prior to sharing information about yourself to anyone online.

In the event we learn that an individual has violated our Eligibility guidelines and that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without parental or guardian consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at privacy@wamboo.com.

Wamboo and Third Parties

Between our network architecture and the privacy settings available to members, we feel you are able to make informed decisions about who has access to your information.

Wamboo gathers anonymous statistical information about our site traffic and usage. This anonymous information as well as user content and other information gathered, may at times be shared with third parties without identifying you to those third parties. We do this for purposes such as aggregating preferences, tendencies, demographic data and membership information so that we can provide you the best community possible. When we utilize third parties for the processing of any personal information, we utilize reasonable contractual and technical protections which limit the use of that information to the Wamboo specific purposes.

We do not provide contact information to third party marketers without your permission. Ever. We share your information with third parties only in very limited circumstances where we believe such sharing is (1.) reasonably necessary to offer the service, (2.) legally required or, (3.) to investigate and/or prevent fraud or other illegal activity, (4.) permitted by you via 'opt-in' mechanism.

Occasionally we provide demo memberships that allow non-users a glimpse into the Wamboo community. Such accounts are provided for a limited period of time only and have very limited capabilities.

If ownership of all or any part of Wamboo, or individual business units owned by Wamboo, LLC., should change, your user information may be transferred to any new owner(s) so the site can continue operations. In the instance of any such transfer of information, your user information would remain subject to the commitments made in any pre-existing Privacy Policy.

When you use Wamboo, certain information you post or share with friends or third parties, such as personal information, kindness shared, comments, messages, photos, videos, images or other information, may be shared in accordance with the privacy settings you select. All such sharing of information is done so at your own risk. Please remember that if you disclose personal information in your profile, postings or other content, this information may become publicly available.

Wamboo and user pages may contain links to other third party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies of other web sites. Our users should be aware when they leave our site to read the privacy statements of every web site you visit.

Changing or Removing Information

Access and control over most personal data, information to be shared and other preferences is readily available through the profile editing tool My Wamboo. Users may modify or delete their profile information at any time by logging into their account. Information will be updated immediately. Individuals who wish to deactivate their Wamboo account may do so on the My Wamboo section after logging in. Removed information may remain in backup copies for a reasonable period of time but will not be generally available to members.

When you use the communication tools of the service to share information with other users, however, you generally cannot remove such information already sent or posted.

Security

Wamboo takes appropriate precautions to protect our users' information. Account information is located on a secure server behind a firewall. E-mail is not considered secure communications, we request that you not send private information to us via email.
