How It Works

Welcome! Wamboo is the fun, free, convenient and trusted way to reach out to people who really need your kindness. We connect the power of you and your friends to the needs of individuals and families. First, set up a Member page then join teams, create teams, or stay on your own. Next, use the search engine to find Rallies you feel strongly about and earn hardware for your Wamboo Trophy Case by helping out. Rallies are individuals or families that need help in your neighborhood or across the country. To be eligible, a Rally must be sponsored by a Champion (a 501(c)(3) non-profit in good standing, police or fire department) who has completed the Wamboo Rally Affidavit.

Some definitions:

Member - You.

Team - A group of individuals who join together to support one cause or several causes. Sometimes the Members of a Team are already in a group together offline (co-workers, clubs, neighbors, etc.). Any member may create a Team so some groups began on Wamboo.com. A Team may be private or public in it's acceptance of new members.

Rally - An individual or family in need. They are sponsored by a Champion.

Champion - A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in good standing, police or fire department. When they sponsor a Rally, the Champion must complete a notarized Wamboo Rally Affidavit committing that 100% of the funds raised will go directly to the purchase of the item(s) needed by the Rally. The Champion also will be responsible for the purchase of that item rather than giving money to the individual or family.

Pep Talk - Messages posted on one Member's profile by another Member.

Trophy Case - When sponsoring a Rally, a Champion may select a trophy or medal that represents certain levels of support. When a member reaches that level, the object selected appears on their Member page.

My Wamboo - Where a Member may manage their profile and preferences.

I Like - A Member may select Rallies, Champions or other Members you like whether or not you have donated kindness to that Rally.
